A trainee astronaut has quit the training in NASA. The last time this happened was in the year 1968.

For the first time in 50 years, a trainee astronaut at NASA resigned. Spokeswoman Brandi Dean said that Robb Kulin a trainee astronaut had resigned his position at NASA due to personal reason effective from August 31st. He declined to provide any further details. For around 12 spots that open up every year, around 18,000 people apply to hope to become an astronaut. It is definitely not an easy gig to get, and there are people around the world who would trade an arm for what Robb Kulin just resigned from. Kulin is the first person who joined sounding upbeat as a trainee astronaut and submitted his resignation since the year 1968. He is the first would-be astronaut to leave training for the past five decades.
