Astronomers discover the first moon outside our solar system
The Kepler and Hubble telescope data provide evidence of the existence of an exomoon.

With help from the Hubble and Kepler space telescopes astronomers have discovered what could be the first exo-moon outside our solar system.

Scientists have always stated that exomoons existed outside our galaxy, but this would be the first time that some compelling evidence has been found about one.

Exomoons refer to moons orbiting planets in other solar systems, and usually, it is hard to find the traces of one. But this moon is almost the size of the planet Neptune, and if confirmed with further investigations it would be vital in the development of planetary systems.

Scientists are waiting for a follow up with the Hubble observations to get a better idea of the moon and the planet it is orbiting which is said to be several times larger than Jupiter.
