China Cancels Lunar New Year Celebrations: Shut Four Cities
Thousands of people in China are stuck in the city due to the sudden outbreak of Coronavirus.

China is facing a difficult time as the Coronavirus is spreading at alarming rate. WHO has declared emergency in China. People are suffering and are locked inside the city. The Government has cancelled all the New Year events in the country as a safety measure. Saturday marks the first day of the Lunar New Year. This time of the year is the most awaited time for the people in China. They go for solo trips, to relative’s house for the celebration. But the sudden outbreak of Coronavirus has affected many people. They are afraid and have been advised to not go to public places. Authorities in Beijing have cancelled all the large-scale celebrations in temples and other places according to CNN. The virus has affected nearly 1,300 people in China. At least 41 people have died, including 15 new deaths in Wuhan on Saturday morning alone. Streets are empty except for hospitals where the environment is unhealthy. People are shocked because of the sudden outbreak as according to them government should be prepared for any such epidemic.
