Girls came back crying who were taken away, said an inmate from UP shelter home
A shelter home from UP forced girls into prostitution.

A 10-year-old girl, a resident of Uttar Pradesh Shelter home, complained against them by telling the police that some cars come to pick up girls aged above 15 years. The girls are later returned crying. The police rescued 24 girls from the shelter, while 18 of them are said to be missing. The girl also said that they were treated as servants inside the home. The girls reported that they were forced into prostitution by the owners of the shelter home. This incident was known when a 10-year-old girl escaped and reached the police station unwinding the terrific conflicts going on in the shelter home. Also Women and child welfare minister, Rita Bahuguna Joshi told that the orders to shut the Deoria shelter home were given the previous year, after founding that it was run illegally.
