India chased down a mammoth total 204 in Auckland against NZ. Indias previous highest chase was against Aussies.
Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. Kiwis batsmen were in a different mood, they smashed the ball hard, Indian pacers were unable to defend them and were seen struggling against Kiwis batsmen. NZ posted a total of 203 on the board.
Bumrah was amongst the most economical Bowler that night.
Indian batsmen also started well, but Rohit Sharma wicket fell early. Virat and Rahul had a good partnership of 99 runs which helped India to reach a little closer to the target.In the end, Shreyas and Manish Pandey chased down the total easily with 6 balls to spare.
Shreyas Iyer was chosen the MOM for his brilliant innings of 58 runs off 29 balls. With this India were able to chase their highest total ever.
