60 years ago, the moon was fully empty, barren, dead, and mysterious. Today, it is still barren and dead, probably a little less mysterious, but definitely not completely empty.
When the Apollo astronauts landed on the moon, they indulged in a variety of activities, such as playing golf. Several by-products of such activities are left on the moon and never made it back to Earth. The total number of articles left on the moon are greater than 106. This is perhaps the biggest proof of humans having not faked the moon landings. Several of the objects left behind were meant to be experiments and sensors. The only functioning ones today are from the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiments.
