SFIO wants to investigate the case of ICICI - Videocon.
The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) shows interest to take up the ICICI - Videocon case as the quantum involved in it is several thousands of crores and it is concerned because it’s all public money. The SFIO is waiting for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ nod to scrutiny ICICI’s 3250 loans to Videocon in 2012. The SFIO submitted their request to ministry a week ago. The SFIO made a preliminary report and submitted to the ministry. The ministry may call up investigation charges within a week.
