Kolkata Bans Flights from 6 Major Cities Till July 19
Kolkata Airport Authorities on Saturday banned air services from 6 Major Cities in view to Coronavirus situation. WB Government stated the orders and the flights will be banned till 19th July.

West Bengal Government restricted the entrance of flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur and Chennai. The decision was taken by the government and further circulated to airport authorities and we're instructed to follow it strictly. 

The flights are banned from July 6 and will be closed from these cities till July 19, depending upon the orders stated by the government. 

On an average Kolkata gets 10 flights from Delhi, 5-5 from Mumbai and Chennai, 2 each from Ahmedabad and Pune and 1 from Nagpur. In total Kolkata Airport holds around 65 domestic flights per day. 

West Bengal has reported more than 20,000 cases of coronavirus.
