Mumbai Police to Control Honking problem through Punishing signals
Mumbai Police has taken up a great initiative to control Honking through metres installed above the traffic signals.

Mumbai Police has installed meters that will measure the noise pollution on the traffic light stoppage. People on the traffic signals, continue Honking instead of wait. So to control this problem Police are with this revolutionary step. 

The police have installed decibel meters on top of signals that will measure the noise pollution. If it crosses 85db sound then the timer increases 90 seconds more with the meter displaying the message "Honk more,Wait more". 

These meters are installed in the CSMT, Bandra, Peddar Road, Marine drive. 

This step will control the noise pollution on the traffic signals.
