YSR president Jagan Mohan Reddy was attacked in the VIP lounge of the Vishakhapatnam airport and sometime after the attack the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu made a statement that the attack was a part of a drama by the center who is trying to bring down his government in the state and not paying attention to their claim of implementing the 2014 AP Reorganisation Act.
He said that the attack on Reddy took place inside the airport which is responsibility of the center and not the state but even then investigations are being carried out, and the person who had stabbed Reddy is being questioned. He complained that YSR leader had left soon after the attack and without the presence of the injured person it is difficult for the police to conduct investigations.
