Women safety is one of the biggest concerns in our country these days. Taking this into concern, ‘Sakha Cabs’ have initiated a taxi service called ‘Women with Wheels’, to help female commuters to travel safely at night. These cabs will be available at Indira Gandhi International Airport starting from 10 January. The idea came from the fact that many women feel uncomfortable to take city cabs in late hours. The cabs are driven only by the female drivers and only for the female commuters and men who are with female commuters. The female drivers have been hired from an NGO named Azad Foundation. The CEO of the cab company said that they are giving 30-40 rides daily. The cab fare will be equivalent to other city cabs. These cabs will also have a panic button. If the driver or commuter feels any sort of danger they can press it and ask for help. The help will reach to them within 30 minutes. The female drivers feel confident and safe while driving the cabs at night.
