It is not a surprise that FIFA world cup is the most sought-after cup in world sports. The winners of the FIFA world cup, however, will not be presented with the original FIFA cup. Instead, they will be given a fake one which is a gold-plated replica of the original one. There is a story behind this. The present FIFA cup is a second generation cup. There used to be another one previously called as the Jules Rimet Cup. Previously, the FIFA regulations stated that any team which wins the tournament three times straight could take home the cup and Brazil did exactly that. The cup was then stolen by thieves in Rio De Janeiro never to be seen again. This is the reason why the original cup is never given to the winning team, and only a replica is given to them.
