Pune Upgrades His Rankings in the Garbage Free States
Pune has received 3-star ratings from Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in the Garbage Free States of Maharashtra.

Pune is among the fast-growing states of India and it supports the heavy load of people on it. Pune has been under high alert in terms of cleanliness due to population. But in the year 2019, the city has taken strict measures to keep it a clean and safe place to live in. In return to this, the city has added one star to its rating in the Garbage Free States given by MoHUA. It's rating has now reached to a 3-star rating. 

Other states have also upgraded their Rankings. Noida, Vadodara, Vishakhapatnam, Ahmednagar, Gwalior are among the states that have upgraded their Rankings. 

This ratings basically depends on 25 key parameters like a door to door Garbage collection, sewage system in the cities, proper sweeping in residential and public places, storage bins, processing of dry and wet waste management, use of scientific landfills, construction work management in the areas.
