He played the first test and scored 37 and dropped from the second test due to his back injury but recovered for Melbourne test and scored63 overall his score from four innings are 37,1.63,5.
The other options for a replacement for Rohith in middle-order are Hardik, Parthiv Patel.hardik missed the action for almost two months due to the back injury. Parthiv Patel is with the team from the beginning of the series as backup wicketkeeper. India can also prefer to play with two spinners if the Sydney pitch is suitable for a spin. If that works, Ashwin orKuldeep will get into the team. And there is also a chance of bringing Murli Vijay, KL Rahul or hanuman Vihari who opened in Melbourne. India is already in the lead in the series with 2-1. And the final test starts on January 3, 2019.
