Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior which is Directed by Om Raut, and set in the 17th century, based on the life of Maratha Empire's military leader Tanaji Malusare played by Ajay Devgn,has been on a roll and has now crossed the Rs 150 crore mark by the end of its second week.
This film is Kajol and Saif Ali Khan's highest-grossing film. Here Saif plays the character of the main antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore, while Kajol plays the role of Savitribai Malusare. The film has been highly praised for its action sequences and storytelling and action sequences
Tanhaji had crossed the Rs 50 croremark on the third day of release, and on the sixth day, entered the Rs 100 crore club. It may even cross the Rs 200 crore mark in the near future.
The film was made on a big budget of Rs 150 Crore and is the first film of 2020 to hit the Rs 100 crore mark. The movie had a 20% earnings drop in week two from the first weekend. This is a great trend considering the fact that the movie was released in over 3500 theatres.
