The chaos at Sabarimala continues as women were asked to return from the temple
Politics ensues as protestors clash with devotees and police on the way to Sabarimala

Congress leader R Chennithala said that Sabarimala is not a tourist spot for people to come and visit, it is a place of worship and what the police is doing is wrong. He added that if it had been their government in the state this wouldn’t have happened and they would have resolved the conflict by talking. 

Rehana Fatima, an activist who had gone up to Sabarimala, faced unknown people vandalized a lot of backlash from the people and government as her house in Kochi. 

Many other woman activists who were on the way to the temple were prohibited from going forward and had to return halfway. Protestors are refusing to allow any women between the age of 10 to 50 to enter the temple premises. 

Police are working overtime to try and protect the women and other devotees who are going up to Sabarimala. 

In the middle of all this violence the head priest had told media that they are going to lock the temple and leave as they stand by the devotees and don’t have another option. 

Kerala Devaswom Board minister said that Sabarimala should not be used as a place to prove a point, it is a place of worship and activists are treating it as a means to prove their point which is wrong.
