Women drop charges after taking money says a veteran party leader
In a recent interview, Govind Singh, a Congress veteran party leader, belonging to Madhya Pradesh said that women drop sexual assault charges after taking money.

The affected women often take money to drop charges and misuse them for their benefits, claims the Congress MLA. He also stated that there are many instances of #MeToo in their village. His comment, however, is going to leave Congress angry since the party recently said that it is time to call out the harassers. This happened after the Union Minister, MJ Akbar's resignation was demanded following the sexual harassment allegations raised against him.

The #MeToo movement that began in the US has helped many women come out and express their plights in hopes to receive justice.
