Zomato Takes Over Uber Eats: Zomato Assures The Customers To Give The Best Experience
Uber sells food delivery business to Zomato.

Uber Eats was launched in 2017 in India. However it stood much below its rivals Swiggy and Zomato, when it comes to the food- delivery business. Swiggy and Zomato gets 2-2.5 million orders everyday whereas Uber Eats gets only 2.5-3  lakh orders per day. Now that Zomato has taken over Uber Eats, it will get more business. Zomato and Uber Eats will acquire 50-50% market in food delivery business. Uber has given 9.99% ownership to Zomato. Now the customers in India will be redirected to Zomato when they wish to order something from Uber Eats. The deal is worth $350 million. The deal is beneficiary and attractive for Zomato as it will gain profits because all the customers of Uber Eats will be redirected to Zomato app. Zomato assures that the food delivery services will only get better. Swiggy which was in lead, now will have to face tough competition.  Zomato has not agreed to keep the 100 workers of Uber. It is still not made clear if the 100 workers will get job in Uber’s other verticals or not.
