3 Reasons why is one of the most popular web series on Netflix. The series is all about the tapes that a high school going teen named Hannah recorded before committed suicide. She recorded thirteen tapes about the thirteen reasons that forced her to take such a disaster step. She receives the help of one of her friends that she trusts the most to pass on the tapes to the people or their classmates that are the reasons behind her suicide commit.

Hannah was bullied by all her schoolmates and had no friends. She was a sufferer of depression. This series has two seasons with 13 episodes each. Here are the top 5 reasons why everyone should watch the series 13 reasons why.

Depression is one of the common psychological disorders seen in people around the age group of 12 - 60 years. The series highlights the point of depression in Hannah and later Jessica and Justin too. Depression can lead to severe other problems such as addictions and anxiety which may also lead to suicidal attempts or be self-harming as happened in the series.

The series puts the limelight on the concept of true love. The series shows that everyone will find their true love at one point of time in their lives. Before that point in time, people may see many people who are not the perfect choices for them. It was not the point for them to get depressed, but to move on and wait for their ideal partner. Hannah in the series thought Justin was perfect for her, but when she got betrayed, she couldn’t understand Clay’s genuine love for her.

Self-acceptance is the reason for low esteem and leads to depression, anxiety and inferiority complexes. In the series, Courtney could not accept her sexuality during entire her series, but she could only do it after she realised that she had done wrong to Hannah and she needs to help Hannah. While Tony’s life was way more sorted as he could accept himself the way he was.
