8 people were airlifted from Daman to Kathmandu hospital and were declared dead on arrival. A group of 15 people from India went for a tour to Nepal which turned tragic to them as 8 of them were found dead in a hotel room. The hotel management said that there were 15 tourists who booked four rooms, but eight of them stayed in one room and the rest in others. Praveen Krishna Nair, his wife Saranya Nair and their three children namely Abhi, Shreebhadra and Archa along with Praveen's friend Renjith Kumar his wife Indu Renjith and their son Vaishnav Renjith were staying together in one room and all were found unconscious the next day. The latter couple had another son Madhav who by his good fortune was staying in a another room and is alive.
They are believed to have died because of asphyxiation due to a gas heater. The deceased were found unconscious by their fellow mates and were carried to hospital as soon. But unfortunately the journey turned fatal.
