Speaking in a public event, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu spoke about the Modi government saying that democracy in the country is at stake and economy is at danger whereas center-state relations have worsened since the BJP government came to power.
Naidu went on to add that a lot of his ministers’ houses have been raided with the reason that they were seeking a special category for the state. That hadn’t happened previously even when a minority coalition government was at center. TDP walked out of a coalition with BJP at the center after the central government denied to give Andhra Pradesh a special state status. He also called for attention towards the recently cyclone-hit areas of Srikakulam saying that the center is indifferent towards natural disasters faced by opposition-ruled states.
