Baba amte born on 26-12-1914, and he born into a wealthy family in Maharashtra. And he exposed to the special right towards him on this day in 1914, in the past baba amte use to hunt animals and drive luxurious cars. And after his 30s, he started as a social worker by helping needy people and helping the poor in there need.
And he was also having a strong believer in national unity, baba amte launched the first knit India in March 1985. And at the age 72, he walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, a distance of more than 3,000 miles for the unity of India. Again after some years in national strife, baba amte was accompanied by 100 men and 16 women who were under the age of 35. And he organized a second march after three years, traveling over 1800 miles from Assam to Gujarat.
He was also awarded by Padma Shri in 1971. And also got united nation prize in the field of human rights, and in 1999 Gandhi peace prize. On his 104th birthday, we salute him for his work towards the needy people and many more social services are done by him we all salute u sir baba amte.
