China plans on launching 3 artificial moons that will reflect sunlight onto the Earth.
Artificial or human-made moons act as a massive mirror in space and reflects the light of the sun to Earth. Russia did a similar experiment in the past back in 1990, but the operation failed as the huge mirror was unable to unfold in space.
China plans on launching, setting and unfolding of the three huge mirrors that would act a source of light during nighttime by 2022. The moons are supposed to help with carrying on with nighttime activities and will also help in areas that experience natural disasters or blackouts.
