Guide To Stay Safe In The Gym During Covid-19
Are you hitting the gym during the pandemic? Is it stressing you out a bit too? Well, going or not going to the gym both can have a negative and positive effect in this situation. Your body needs to exercise but you will also have to stay safe from the coronavirus. If you simply follow the safety measures below while in the gym, you will be just fine.
1. Maintain personal hygiene
You need to wear a mask throughout the workout session. Avoid touching your face under any conditions. You need to take your own water bottle and towel without sharing it with anyone. Use a hand sanitizer before and after using any equipment. Avoid going to washroom until and unless it’s an emergency.
2. Make sure the gym equipment is safe
Many people will leave their body sweats on the gym equipment, hence it is extremely important to have them sanitized. Ask the gym instructor to have it cleaned properly. Use equipment that has a considerable amount of space around them.
3. Wear gloves
Wear gloves while working out in the gym to eliminate physical touch with equipment and people. You can take it off while using fingerprint detectors but make sure you sanitize your hands ever after.
4. Cover up yourself
Cover your body as much as you can by wearing full-sleeved t-shirts and joggers. This will not only prevent any direct physical contact but also boost your calorie-burning process due to the immense heat while working out.
5. Avoid crowd
According to guidelines, only a certain number of people are allowed to use the gym within a certain time slot. Crowded gyms are dangerous and more prone to transmission. If you can, go to open-air gyms as it will reduce the transmission compared to the central air conditioning in closed gyms.
