Indian Government Restricts the Import of Colour Television Sets
Taking India to Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Indian Government restricted the Import of Colour Television Sets from abroad.

Indian Government on Friday restricted the Import of Colour Television Sets in India from abroad countries. According to data, most colourful television sets are imported from Vietnam and then from China.

This restriction has been imposed in order to stop the items from abroad countries, instead, India Should manufacture locally to boost the economy. This rule will help in the increasing employability rate in India. More and more Indians will be engaged in this work and will manufacture better quality products.

According to reports, India imports most of the television sets from Vietnam($428 million)  and from China($293 million). This results in giving away money to these countries instead of manufacturing local.

Government rules state that from now license will be required to import television sets from abroad. It is estimated that around $781 million worth television sets are imported from abroad countries.
