The teaser for Vijay's upcoming movie Sarkar was released on 19 October and garnered more than 1 million views within an hour. According to reports, it is now one of the fastest promos to reach 1 million mark. The teaser received 10 million views in just a couple of hours.
The movie will portray Vijay in the character of a corporate monster who gets involved in politics. He comes to India for registering his vote but later realizes his vote has been misused. Events turn out in such a way that he ends up becoming leader of the masses.
Fans were genuinely excited and even celebrated the teaser launch. His fans in Chennai turned it into a festival like celebration.
Vijay is known for his role in the hit film Mersal in which he revealed the corrupt medical system, is back with another sure-fire hit. Many have already declared it as a blockbuster. The movie is directed by AR Muragdoss and will hit the movie screens this Diwali
