Skull of the Smallest Dinosaur Discovered
A skull of a very small ‘Bird Dinosaur’ has been found and researchers are saying it could be the smallest dinosaur to have ever existed

A small chunk of amber supposedly 99 million has been discovered in Myanmar. The skull of the newly identified Dinosaur is only 7.1mm long.

They used the amber as a specimen and were able to create a computer-generated image of the Dinosaur that would have measured approximately 2 inches long and would have weighed around an ounce.

The amber preserved many details of the creature including 100 sharp teeth and lizard-like eyes.

Palaeontologist Jingmai O’Connor of the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology in Beijing said that it was the most beautifully preserved Mesozoic bird skull he has ever seen.

He said that the creature appeared to be smaller than what is considered to be the smallest bird, The bee Hummingbird. It had conical teeth with sharp ridges which could imply that it likely hunted insects.
