In 2016, after an accidental discovery of a bacterium which consumes plastic, the scientist have now come up with the detailed structure of enzyme produced by the bacteria. To recycle the plastic faster than before, the researchers are hoping to speed the enzyme’s process further by a few days. The researchers also said that it would help reduce the digging of oil and can be used to make plastic.
