WhatsApp CEO commented on Apple's policy

Sparks have been flying between Facebook and Apple for as long as anyone can remember.

Both tech giants are not good friends. The CEOs of both the companies, too, have regularly criticized each other publically. Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg don't leave and opportunity to burn each other. The most recent argument is based on WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart. Cathcart has made it clear he is not fond of the Apple head.

Cathcart said that Apple has a discriminatory policy. It does not want people to use Android.

"I assume it's in Apple's interest to have everyone using an iPhone. I mean, it is. And you look at a place like the U.S., most people have an iPhone, and the messaging experience works better on iMessage if everyone else has an iPhone. It's certainly in their strategic interest that people not use something like WhatsApp because they want people not to use an Android phone."

Facebook and WhatsApp have been collecting a lot more data than any other apps. Facebook Messenger has 65 privacy labels, while Whatsapp has 16 privacy labels used for personalized ads and suggestions.
