A section of sellers has accused Amazon of favoring a particular merchant Cloudtail India over others and plan to take up the issue with the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

Cloudtail is a joint venture between Amazon and Infosys Co-founder Narayana Murthy's Catamaran Ventures. Cloudtail posted a net profit (before tax) of ₹1.59 crore in FY17.
