The comedic science of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith needs to do a ton of hard work in "Bad Boys for life," the third amigo cop activity film to include the pair as Maverick Miami detectives. They make sure of the job to be done — conveying an entertaining movie that submitted fans and viewers of the franchise will significantly rate higher — however, they need to hack through a great deal of by-the-numbers plotting and lethargic portrayals to get there.
