1. Mother
Sudesh is the mother of Sakshi Malik. Her mother was the first person who took to the wrestling stadium for the first time. That was when Sakshi chose wrestling. Her mother understood that this is a game dominated by men and hence she stood with Sakshi through the tough periods and always encouraged her.
2. Sakshi’s Grandfather
Sakshi’s brother also helped her in her practice in his own ways. Sakshi’s practice arena was seven to eight kilometres away from their home, and Sakshi’s brother made sure that he picked her up and dropped her every day for practice. He said that whenever Sakshi wanted something, he made sure that was present at any cost.

4. Coach Ishwar Dahiya
Coach Ishwar Dahiya was Sakshi’s first coach who taught her all the tricks and tips in wrestling. Seeing her passion towards wrestling Ishwar made sure that she knew everything that he knew about wrestling. Even though, later on, the coach changed, her coaching from Ishwar helped her win the medal in Rio.
5. Coach Mandeep
After her training with coach Mandeep, Sakshi’s game improved exponentially. Mandeep’s experience and wisdom helped her grab the medal and make all of India proud at Rio. The help and support of family and coaches helped Sakshi reach the top position in her field. We wish Sakshi Malik a very happy birthday and hope that she sees more success and happiness in the future.
