AMMA and WCC still in battle after Dileep's resignation
AMMA, Association of Malayalam Movie Artists short for and Women’s Collective in Cinema widely known as WCC, two associations in the Malayalam film industry, have been in a battle since long.

In a meeting held on the 13th of October, the WCC named the AMMA president, actor Mohanlal of disrespecting them and also protecting Dileep in the kidnapping and molestation case of the actress. The battle between the two has divided the industry into two and still seems to be continuing. Along with Mohanlal, the WCC members also blamed other AMMA members for protecting Dileep.

They also stated that Mohanlal took an "apathetic stance" while everyone was supporting the female actors in the #MeToo movement. Adding to that, the WCC members said that women actors had no safety at all during their shoots in far off locations.

The treasurer of AMMA cum actor and politician, Jagadeesh, stated that it is not right to put the blame entirely on Mohanlal as it was a collective decision taken by the executive committee. Apart from that, the actor stated that unless and until the court prooves Dileep guilty, no action can be taken against him.
