Athletes to Wear Social-distancing Device in the London Marathon
London Marathon will commence from October 4. Around 500 people will be wearing the device in order to keep them safe.

London Marathon officials have instructed staff and athletes other wear a social distancing Device while the event. The organisers of the London Marathon will be using distance measuring bump device to keep athletes safe and the staff will be following bio-secure bubble during the event. 

The device can be worn in many ways. As the officials have not made it mandatory to wear while their event. But rest all the time they have to wear it with full precautions. The device can be worn around the neck or can be clipped on a cloth. It will sound and blink a light when someone moves too close to someone. The device is developed by a British company Tharasus. 

According to the team, the device has many functions that keep the holder safe from the virus. As the bump can monitor to frequency and length of time that athletes stay closer to someone. It will also keep info about the positive patients. The marathon is scheduled to be behind the doors with full SOP. 

London Marathon event usually takes over in a full city, but this time it is confined to a limited area with limited people. The event will be telecasted on the BBC network.
