Flipkart Stepping Into Online Grocery Business
Flipkart is likely to invest $264 million into the online grocery business.

Soon after CCI approved the Walmart-Flipkart deal, the announcement for ‘Supermart’, an online grocery store by Flipkart comes out. Currently, Supermart is available for most of the pin codes in Bengaluru. Soon, its services will be made available in Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi-NCR and Pune. It is likely that Flipkart is soon going to invest $264 million into this online grocery business. Flipkart, which is backed by Walmart and boasts additional network support from the US retailer, may yet face a bloodbath as the online grocery market in India is not as immature as it was a few years ago.
