I Was Not Good Enough In The Presence Of Dhoni: Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik said that it is not easy to be a keeper-batsman when you have a special player like Dhoni breathing down your neck.

Dinesh Karthik last played in the year 2010, and since then he has been soul searching. He says he realized that he was not good enough or instead he was not consistent enough when Mahendra Singh Dhoni was creating a revolution of being a keeper-batsman. He says that he did not lose his place to just any other cricketer. He lost his place to Dhoni. Karthik has now come in as a replacement for Wriddhiman Saha. He said that he respected Dhoni for what he is. He added that honestly, he did not have much performance on his side to hold on to. Karthik commented that he is not going to burden himself thinking and analyzing how to keep his place now. He says that playing for the Tamil Nadu team has always kept him on his toes as they were playing knock-out games almost every two years. He says he always happy to help the young team and he is thankful for the Tamil Nadu team who backed him all this time.
