Nirbhaya Case Convicts On Their Last Wishes: Hopeful or Guilty?
Nirbhaya Case convicts will be hanged on 1st February. Jail authorities have asked them if they have any last wish.

On the night of 12th December 2012, a 23-year old medical student was brutally gang-raped, tortured and murdered. The four convicts: Vinay Sharma (26), Akshay Kumar Singh (31), Pawan (26), Mukesh Kumar Singh (32) will be hanged on 1st February, 2020. The four convicts were to be hanged on Wednesday but one of the convicts filed a curative and mercy petition, which delayed the hanging. The four convicts were asked about their last wish or if they want to meet their family members.  All four convicts remained quiet, still in the hope of getting the hanging delayed. The government has also approached Supreme Court to take a step against the convicts, who play with law and delay the executions. Nirbhaya parents were happy but admitted that it’s high time to change the law system in India. Nirbhaya case became one of the most sensitive cases in India as it brought public to streets and fight for the injustice which happened not just to one Nirbhaya but many other Nirbbhaya’s of India. Among the six convicts one was found hanging in the jail cell and the other was sent to the reform home for 3 years as he was a minor.
