Recykle: An Ola ride for Waste Products
Recykal works with Coke, Pepsi, Panasonic, LG, Unilever and many other brands across 25 states. It manages to recycle 20 tons of waste each month.

Abhay Deshpande has always been a man ahead of the times. Back in 1998 when E-commerce wasn't even a definition in the country, Abhay started an ethnic wear site called Malamall. He earned well but eventually had to shut down. In 2007 he started the first SaaS platform in the country called Martjack and worked with many franchises like Pizza Hut, Walmart and companies like Future Group. He sold this start-up eight years later

In 2017, he again came up with an idea as he searched for the next big thing. Waste Management! Indian Waste Management industry is predicted to grow worth 14 million USD. He launched a company called Recykal. His employees included rag-pickers. Recykal collects waste from residential areas and houses. The rag-pickers take this waste to recycling centres. Recykal launched its very own Uzed app. However, the household were only small amounts. He decided to take the business to next level and started collecting trash from sources that provide a minimum of 10 kilos trash per day. By 2019, this innovative business was a B2B model and sort of an Ola of waste. All the source has to do is enter details in the Uzed app and rag-pickers will come to the mentioned address to pick up the waste.

Today, Recykal works with Coke, Pepsi, Panasonic, LG, Unilever and many other brands across 25 states. It manages to recycle 20 tons of waste each month. Even the Government has backed this innovative and noble initiative.

It is the most modern tool of waste management and uses cloud computing, ERP and few other technologies to facilitate the process. The story of Recykal indeed proves that science is a boon if used wisely.
