This operation is to help needy peoples of Madagascar.
A huge amphibious ship is diverted to Madaggaascar for support. Indian Navy launched an operation named ‘Operation Vanilla’ on January 28.
“INS Airavat, which was mission deployed, has been diverted for the same,” a statement by the Indian navy.
Last week Madagascar is has been hit by a cyclone that causes massive flooding and landslides, which causes loss of lives and dislocation of several people. Till now, more than 92000 people have been affected.
