Kerala HC warns police to be careful while arresting protestors
The police have been on a hunt to catch the demonstrators who were responsible for violence and destruction of public property during the Sabarimala temple’s opening.

Till now they have arrested over 2061 people, and out of them, 1500 have been granted bail while the rest are in for questioning. The Kerala High Court has asked the police to be careful while arresting the protestors and not to harm the devotees.

The BJP in Kerala has moved to the High Court stating that the police are trying to target and arrest innocent devotees who have nothing to do with the violence.

NSS leader G Sukumaran Nair has called the police arrest as undemocratic and immoral.

The Sabarimala Action Committee leader S J R Kumar said that the next time the temple opens the devotees are going to protest even more and they are ready to get arrested too if that is what it takes to protect the purity of Sabarimala.
