Farming and agriculture may seem to be a conventional profession seemingly unaffected by technology, but that isn’t the case. Here are 5 agritech startups that are changing the ways of agriculture.

1. Crofarm

Crofarm is a Farm to Business venture which started in 2016 by Prashant Jain and VarunKhurana. The website reveals that they have over 10,000 farmers in their network and have partnered with Reliance Retail, Grofers, Big Basket and MetroFoods. 

2. Aarav Unmanned Systems

Aarav Unmanned systems started in IIT Kanpur with their team of designers, artists,developers, and engineers. They provide high-value engineering solutions to companies across geographic information system. 

3. . Aibono

Aibono was founded as Airwood Aerostructures by an IIT Madras graduate and later rebranded. The company provides intelligence, expertise, gadgets and technology solutions to farmers. 

4. Gold Farm

Gold Farm originates from Surya Power Magic which was formed by Abhilash Thirupathy in 2012 to educate farmers, mostly about water pumps. Gold Farm has till now assisted 750+ irrigation pump owners to harness solar power. 

5. Ninjacart

Ninjacart addresses the problem of middlemen and wastage in the supply chain resulting in the low income received by farmers. They cut out the middlemen and focus on building a system which is cost effective and reliable. Before switching to end-to-end agri marketer, it used to be an on-demand grocery delivery company.
