DMK is upset about the decision that is taken regarding the funeral of Karunanidhi.
A spokesperson of DMK and a lawyer, Saravanan said that the government has planned to construct 3400-3500 square foot building as Jayalalitha’s memorial but is not even granting 6 feet area for Karunanidhi. He added that they are not asking for a memorial at this point but are asking to be buried next to his mentor, Anna. The petition started off at midnight, and the Madras high court gave a verdict that Karunanidhi is to be buried at Chennai’s Marina beach. His body will be taken to the funeral ground at 4 pm where his last rites will be performed. Several political leaders including prime minister Narendra Modi will visit his residence today to pay their last respects today.
