Sudha Mishra, a 73-year old woman, attended the Prime Minister’s Yoga day event at the Forest Research Institute at Dehradun. She fell unconscious at the venue and was immediately taken to the hospital. She died during the treatment at the hospital itself. Superintendent of Police, Pradeep Rai informed the media that medical facilities and ambulances were immediately available at the venue and they were able to immediately take Sudha Mishra to the hospital where she died during the treatment. He added that only doctors could confirm the exact reason for her death. This incident happened where almost 50,000 yoga enthusiast joined Narendra Modi in celebrating Yoga Day at Dehradun. Modi, during this occasion, said that Yoga is what unites the world and only yoga can provide wellness to us.
