Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to cast Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his directorial film, Padmavat; but he couldn’t find a perfect Khilji for her, reveals Aishwarya. She added that the person he thought would play Khilji along with her playing Padmavati didn’t happen. If the casting isn’t happening, it doesn’t come together, she further added. She also said that she was even supposed to star in the directorial movie of Bhansali, Bajirao Mastani.
