One of the vice presidents of HDFC bank Siddharth Sanghvi was murdered in a robbery gone wrong. The killer was Sarfaraz Shaikh. Sarfaraz Shaikh was arrested and presented before the court for the murder. He said that he was under pressure to pay the EMI for his motorbike and hence attempted a robbery. But when Sanghvi raised the alarm, he murdered him. As the victim died, Sarfaraz panicked and dumped the body and abandoned the vehicle in which he drove to that place before fleeing. Shaikh is 20 years old and is ordered to remain in police custody till September 19th. Before the murderer was found, many theories revolved around this case. At a point, even the police suspected that this could be a contract given to someone to kill him due to jealousy as Sanghvi got three promotions in barely five years.
