IKEA set up its first store in India at Hyderabad after studying more than 800 homes in the country. IKEA has launched this store after researching India for about 12 years, and now it is finally open to the customers. The store is built on a 13-acre land and has more than 1,000 products under just Rs.200, to ensure that the middle class do not shy away from the store expecting everything to be expensive. Superstar Rajinikanth is the first customer of IKEA. Ikea is a Swedish-founded multinational group which designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories. It has been the world’s largest furniture retailer since at least 2008. The Hyderabad store will have a 1,000-seater restaurant, Ikea’s largest globally.
