New Education Policy 2020
The Ministry of Human Resources Management, MHRD has been renamed as the Education Ministry. New education policy is also approved by the Cabinet Ministers.

New Education Policy that was approved by Cabinet, includes certain keynotes:

  • More focused will be given to vocational courses for students. Many co-curricular activities that include carpentry, metalwork, gardening, pottery making etc.will be taken care of. 

  • Similar internship programmes will be organised for the students to learn these things and apply in their day-to-day life. 

  • School premises will be used for adult education courses after school hours. That will include ICT-equipped when required for other community engagement. 

  • Pre-School section will cover at least one year of early childhood care and will be included in KVS. 

  • NCC wings will be made for secondary and higher secondary students in the school campus that will be under the Ministry of Defence. 

  • Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya will also be equipped with free-boarding facilities for the students that belong to the Economically weaker section of society. 

  • More emphasis on digital online learning. 

  • Scholarship portals for SC/ST/OBC categories under special cases. 

  • GDP rate increased to 6%, earlier it was 1.7%.

  • Nutrition and health check-ups of the students will be conducted regularly on the school campus. 

  • Coding from 6th standard. 

  • E-content will be made available in regional languages. 

  • UG Courses for 4 years and PG for 1year.
