Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that Google would not help create artificial intelligence for weaponry and surveillance purposes.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google said that they would not develop artificial intelligence for use in weapons and digital surveillance. This is because it is against internationally accepted norms. However, he added that Google will still help governments with issues in cybersecurity, training and military recruitment, etc. He said that creating artificial intelligence in the areas of weapons and surveillance may result in injuring people and he doesn’t want that. But their company is ready to assist governments of various countries in progressive development in much-needed areas. Google will not develop artificial intelligence in technologies related to surveillance and destruction.
