Indian actress and producer Pallavi Joshi has finally broken her silence on the recent statement by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah on the popularity of the movie 'The Kashmir Files'.

Shah, in a recent interview, expressed his discomfort and disturbance over the widespread acceptance and acclaim that the movie 'The Kashmir Files' has received. "It's scary," Shah said, "that a film that endorses hatred is being celebrated."

"It hurts," Joshi responded, expressing her disappointment over Shah's comments. "The film is about the pain and struggle of the Kashmiri Pandits, and it's disheartening to see it being labeled as a film that endorses hatred."

Joshi, who is also one of the producers of the film, further stated that the movie was made with the intention of shedding light on the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits and not to incite hatred.

'The Kashmir Files', directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has sparked controversies since its release. The film tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in 1990. Critics and audiences have argued over its portrayal of the events, with some praising it for bringing the story to light, while others accusing it of being biased and stoking communal tensions.

Despite the controversies, 'The Kashmir Files' has emerged as a box office success. The film, which was made on a budget of INR 10 crore, has reportedly earned over INR 200 crore in worldwide gross collections.

While the debate continues, Shah's statement has added fuel to the ongoing discussions about the movie's content and message. "Everyone is entitled to their opinion," Joshi concluded, "but it's important to remember that the movie is a representation of a historical event that has affected the lives of thousands of people."
