Actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, mostly Saif, were known to make to and fro trips to their new home just across the street from their current residence. The place was under construction for some time and now finally they are all set to move into their new house. The couple has been seen making regular trips in recent times to the new house to oversee construction work. They are currently residing in Florent Heights which was designed by Designer Darshini Shah. She has also been commissioned to look over the decor of the new house.
She said that “Saif and Kareena’s new house is an extension of sorts of the old one. They had become extremely comfortable with their house in Fortune Heights; they just didn't want to move out. So, the new house, which they should be moving into shortly, has a feel of the old pad but it also meets their new set of requirements with their second baby on the way. It has a beautiful new nursery for the baby, and Taimur’s own space as he’s growing up. It’s a lot larger than their old house; it’s more spacious with beautiful terraces, a swimming pool, outdoor areas, and open spaces that have been landscaped. It has room for everyone.”
The couple is known for their classy taste. All their homes reflect it. They never liked anything loud. So all the new decor are accordingly and have a subtle richness to it including the library, furniture and antiques that adorn the house. When the second baby comes its arrival will be celebrated in the new house. Almost the entire Pataudi family is in Mumbai except for Saif's mother who is staying in Delhi overseeing the renovation work at that place.
